On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,273. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.899 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,616. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 2.310 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 485.779 million, WTI crude oil PKR 280.509 million, DJ PKR 275.338 million, silver PKR 196.658 million, platinum PKR 159.857 million, natural gas PKR 93.331 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 42.567 million, Brent crude oil PKR 29.890 million, copper PKR 14.698 million and SP500 PKR 10.263 million.

In agricultural commodities 12 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 5.202 million were traded.
